At Western Nevada College, we utilize Multiple Measures to assist in placing students into their English or Math courses. Depending on the criteria you fulfill, there are several pathways available for placing into your initial class at WNC.

Students pursuing a degree or certificate at Western Nevada College must fulfill English and Math requirements. They will collaborate with an academic advisor to determine appropriate placement in English and Math courses, considering various placement options and educational objectives.

Placement into English and Math courses at WNC relies on factors such as high school transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, AP scores, Accuplacer testing, and/or the Guided Self Placement tool.

Each placement level offers several course choices for both English and Math. The specific English and Math courses taken depend on the student's chosen program of study.
