Not Too Late to Take Spring Semester Classes
Feb 16, 2024
Opportunities to enroll in Spring 2024 Semester at Western Nevada College didn’t end when classes began on Jan. 22.
There still are options to become a student this semester.
WNC offers open entry, late-start and short-term courses over the remainder of the semester, which concludes on May 18.
"Learning never stops at WNC!” said WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe. “Students have many options to enroll in classes throughout each semester, and our flexible learning options, including open entry classes, have become very popular as students can complete courses at their own pace."
Open entry classes allow students to register for a class through the ninth week of the semester and work at their own pace to complete the course. Students can choose from open entry programs, including Aviation, Construction, Electrical Theory, Environmental Science, Finance, Management Science, Mathematics and Political Science. Classes are filling up so register as soon as possible.
Most remaining late-start classes begin in March and end on May 18. Short-term classes are offered throughout the semester. These accelerated options include American Sign Language, Automotive Mechanics, Biology, Counseling and Personal Development, Drafting, Electrical Theory, Fire Science Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Management Science, Medical Terminology, Nursing, Recreation and Physical Education and Welding.
Students can view a list of full-term, late-start, short-term and open entry classes at wnc.edu/class-schedule/. Current and returning students can register for these classes in their myWNC accounts.
